Fees and Services
The APS National Schedule of Recommended Fees 2023-2024 has the standard 50-minute consultation fee of $300. We aim to provide high-quality and affordable support, by reducing this fee to $185 from the 1st July 2024.

Individual Sessions
Sharen offers a professionally discounted rate of $185 for a 50 minute consultation.
A Medicare Rebate is available to clients with a current Mental Health Care Plan and referral from a GP. With a Mental Health Care Plan you are entitled to up to 10 sessions per calendar year with a rebate of $96.65
​
Video & Phone sessions are also available (Conditions apply).

Payments and Medicare rebates are claimed on the spot through EFTPOS & HICAPS
​
Relationship Counselling
Couples counseling is $185 per 50 minute consultation. Medicare rebates do not apply to couples counseling.
Private Health Insurance
Sharen is registered with all major Health Insurance funds. Please check with your Health Insurance Provider to see if your are eligible to receive a rebate on our service fee. Most rebates are available on the spot through HICAPS.

Cancellation Policy (Please read in full)
$90 Cancellation fee if cancelled within the 24 hours notice period.
Appointments that are MISSED without notification will be charged at the full fee ($185). Please be mindful to cancel appointments within the 24 hours notice period as missed or cancelled appointments are NOT rebatable by Medicare.

When you book your appointment, you are holding a space on our calendar that is no longer available to our other clients. In order to be respectful of your fellow clients, please call as soon as you know you will not be able to make your appointment.
If cancellation is necessary, we require that you call at least 24 hours prior to the appointment time. Appointments are in high demand, and your advanced notice will allow another client access to that appointment time.
How to Cancel Your Appointment
If you need to cancel your appointment:

VIA PHONE CALL: please call on 0408 294 434. If necessary, you may leave a detailed voicemail message. We will return your call as soon as possible.

VIA EMAIL: please email sharencurtis2@bigpond.com with the cancellation request.

VIA SMS: Please reply with "N" to our SMS message reminder, the day before your appointment.

** The fee will be charged to your provided payment details or to be paid over the phone. A receipt of payment will be sent via email.

Written Reports
Written reports require the practitioner’s time to prepare and write. The cost of written reports is in addition to your consultation fees and is not rebatable from Medicare.
If you require a written report in relation to your consultation/treatment it must be paid for before the report is released to you.

The writing of reports is charged as per the hourly rate of $185 + GST.
This is charged in 30 min increments. (e.g if the report takes 90 mins to prepare and complete the cost for this will be $277.50 +GST).
